Overview
This website houses an online self-paced workshop, several film modules created by The Working Group, as well as a variety of other resources for classroom use.
A Message from Alicia Upano at Not in Our Town:
"Here at Not In Our Town, we have been so inspired by the experience,
thoughtfulness, and ideas that have been generated as part of this
Facing History workshop. We think our community has so much to learn
from Facing History teachers and that’s why we launched a new Not In
Our School site in conjunction with this workshop
(http://www.niot.org/nios). The new site includes lesson ideas,
activity guides and videos that can be used in your classroom.
Given your expertise and passion for the values shared by Facing
History and Not In Our Town, we welcome you as leaders in this new and
exciting endeavor. We urge you to share your lesson ideas, put your
classroom on the NIOT.org map and engage your larger community.
My colleague Will Paris, our executive producer Patrice O'Neill and I
make up the NIOT outreach team. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at
aupano@theworkinggroup.org or wparis@theworkinggroup.org. Thank you
for your inspiring words and actions."
